In Praise of Cheap Beer

At a cookout last week, I encountered a beer that I have seen on the store shelves but had never tried before. As I popped the cap off of a bottle of Southpaw Light, I did not have expectations other than it being cold and wet. Wow, was I pleasantly surprised. Even though it is a light beer, it had a rich full body and a pleasant taste. Here comes the best part... As I was walking down the beer aisle at the grocery store I saw that it was positioned next to the Milwaukee's Best and priced at just under $7 for a 12 pack of bottles. Unfortunately beer was not on my shopping list today, but I can safely say that my fridge will become accustomed to Southpaw Light.

Actually, I think I've had Southpaw before...but never the light version. Speaking of beer, we need to properly congratulate Bert.
