Prayer Request

Amy's grandmother, Essie Bascle, is having surgery to repair a broken hip this afternoon. On Monday afternoon she fell in her apartment at an assisted living facility. Mrs. Bascle is 97 years old. Please pray that she has the strength to endure the surgery and subsequent rehabilitation, and that the surgeons and therapists have the knowledge, skill and wisdom to treat her effectively. Please pray for Amy and her family as well that they will have peace throughout this ordeal and that God will somehow use this situation to bring them even closer to himself.

Update: Mrs. Bascle made it through the surgery just fine and may even be well enough to discharge to her own home rather than to a rehab facility. Thank you all for your prayers and concern.
